FUJIBIO GONORRHEA RAPID TEST KIT: You most trusted ‘at home test kit’ for Gonorrhea.

Heya mamshies! I’m back for another review. This time, I’ll be reviewing the FujibioOne Step Gonorrhea Rapid Test Kit manufactured by hivtestkit.ph. Brace yourselves as this is the best home diagnostic test kit, in my honest opinion. No kidding, this is pure honesty! Alright, here we go!

To begin with, I am a bisexual. I hate to admit that I have a long-time boyfriend, who’s in an open relationship too. Saklap no? Well, call me names, but I still love him, ‘coz he makes me happy. <3 Besides, people shouldn’t be judged based on his/her gender, right?

Bago pa tayo mapunta sa lovelife ko, let’s move on to the review na. I just opened up that issue because I felt I acquired an STI (sexually transmitted infection)/STD (sexually transmitted disease). How did I know? Kasi I noticed something from my genital – a thick and cloudy discharge. I believe this is an indicator for gonorrhea.

Hence, before worse comes to worst, I immediately searched for a diagnostic test online. The internet suggested me some clinics but my concern is that they will surely get my information/details. I don’t like that. I want something that I can do at my own privacy and convenience. Yung tipong magagawa ko mag isa sa bahay ko.

Minutes of searching lead me to hivtestkit.ph. This website offers numbers of home diagnostic kits. One of them is the Fujibio Gonorrhea Rapid Test Kit. They are selling this kit for 875.00 each. Delivery shouldn’t be a worry as they will tag your order as “supplement” when they ship it to your home via lbc.

What’s this kit all about? Fujibio Gonorrhea Rapid Test Kit is a direct binding test for the visual detection of gonorrhea antigen , in the secretory specimen and urine from urogenital system, as an aid in the diagnosis of gonococcal infection. It is Based on the principle of double sandwich immunoassay for the detection of gonorrhea antigen in the secretory specimen or urine. Monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies are employed to identify gonorrhea specifically. Both sensitivity and specifically of the test are higher than those of the present methods, which often involve long hours of culturing the collected specimen. Test results are not affected by any medication that is being taken. Results are read visually without any instrumentation. This test is ideal for screening specimen samples containing at least 1x 10 bacteria per ml.
The materials that can be found inside the box are:
Ø  Cotton Tipped Applicator
Ø  Cassette Test Device
Ø  Plastic Pipette
Ø  Desiccant (for storage purposes)
Ø  Plastic Tube Container
Ø  Specimen Diluent A and B

Contrary to HIV test kit, where in you need blood sample, here on Gonorrhea test kit, you need a specimen instead. How to get that specimen? Let me give you an idea.

You need the cotton swab to get specimen from your genitals.

For male, swab discharge from the opening of the urinary tract. If no discharge is present, insert the swab 2-3 cm into the urinary tract, gently move a few turns and retrieve the swab without touching the outside surface.

For female, swab discharge from the vaginal opening, then insert swab into vagina for half a minute and retrieve the swab without touching the outside surface to prevent contamination.

Next thing to do is to put the specimen in the micro tube and add 6 drops of specimen diluents A on the swab. Rotate the swab, and squeeze. Discard the swab properly. After that, add 2 drops of diluents B into the micro tube and mix well.

You are now ready to open the sealed pouch by tearing along the notch. Remove the test kit from the pouch.

Using the pipette provided, dispense 4 drops of the specimen sample onto the sample well of the cassette. Wait for 10-20 minutes and read the results. Do no read results after 30 minutes (as per the manufacturer).

The result I got was negative. However, I was not convinced because of the symptoms I experienced. So I ordered another one from them, because each kit is for single use only.

Remember, this kit is not a confirmatory test for Gonorrhea. I still recommend consulting a specialist if you got a positive result from this kit.

Thanks for your time!!
